Not so simple: My line was 1564 at the church records of the Zarnowitz 1.Mal mention of a funeral. The ancestors came from Holland about 1520-40 and settled in Odergau, were called back then "Goyke" and had to leave Holland because of their faith. The family Goyke is still resident there today, the places are situated on the Baltic coast, Kashubian Switzerland, the Danzig. The name meaning is not clear to me, would like to register but when I found out that, perhaps someone else knows something.
